DOWN SYNDROME RESOURCES
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NATIONAL DOWN SYNDROME SOCIETY
Long before we ever thought about setting sail, NDSS has been doing this work. For over four decades, they’ve been supporting families, advocating for real change, and helping reshape how the world sees Down syndrome. Their mission is simple and direct, “To create a world where individuals with Down syndrome thrive.”
OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH NDSS
We’ve partnered with NDSS to connect this expedition to something bigger than our story.
If you’re looking for real support, this is where it starts. Whether you’re navigating a new diagnosis, looking for classroom resources, or trying to understand what life with a Down syndrome diagnosis actually looks like, NDSS has built one of the most comprehensive collections of resources out there.
This isn’t just information, it’s guidance, advocacy, and a place to go when you need it.
NDSS PROGRAMS
All of the content above is backed by decades of real work.
NDSS focuses on three areas that actually matter in day-to-day life: Resources & Support, Advocacy & Policy, and Community Engagement.
Resources & Support
Whether you’re navigating a new diagnosis or just trying to understand what comes next, this is where a lot of people start.
NDSS has built resources that cover real life, health, education, employment, and everything in between. There are guides, videos, events, and direct support through their helpline, along with connections to over 300 local organizations.
If you’re trying to figure something out, there’s a good chance it’s already here.
Advocacy & Policy
A lot of the most important work happens in places you don’t see.
NDSS works to shape laws and policies that directly impact individuals with Down syndrome, from healthcare and education to employment and long-term independence. They also help families and individuals step into that process themselves, so they’re not just affected by policy, they have a voice in it.
Community Engagement
This is where it becomes something more than information.
NDSS brings people together through events, programs, and shared experiences that build real connection. From local Buddy Walks to national campaigns, their work creates space for individuals with Down syndrome and their families to be seen, supported, and part of something bigger.
